History of the Kriegsmarine
A complete synopsis of all events in the Kriegsmarine
The Kriegsmarine Clan has been through four "era's". Each era started with one or more Kriegsmariners beginning the clan, and ending with the clan's collapse or formal ending by a founder.
The First Era
On January 12, 2011, KMS x Bismarck began the first age of the Kriegsmarine. The opening of the clan was held at the KMS headquarters. There, Bismarck christened the clan as the Kriegsmarine Strikers. The three members present at the event were to be the first members. The first era lasted from January until late March, when Bismarck and his assistant leaders dismantled the clan and declared it void. The First Era Kriegsmarine peaked at 16 members.

The Second Era
The Second Era informally began in June 2011 (the exact date was never recorded). KMS x Bismarck, the original leader, and C00kie Tim3, an original member, began the clan by christening a new clan map, the KMS Castle, and recruiting ExchangedRanger, who eventually became one of the leaders. The Second Era Kriegsmarine was once again named the Kriegsmarine Strikers. The Second Age KMS featured a new government structure, where, instead of an autocracy, which was featured in the First Age, the 2nd KMS was governed by a council of four leaders, each of whom controlled all power in the clan, but could override each other. The new council was headed by KMS x Bismarck, C00kie Tim3, ExchangedRanger, and XxBlueSmackoxX. The second era introduced the KMS Navy, the focal point of the era. The clan amassed nearly 60 ships, all obtained by various shipbuilders (with their permission). The clan allied with the DDR clan, and later merged with them in early October. This concluded the Second Age.

Kriegsmarine Occupied
The Council of the Kriegsmarine Strikers made an agreement with the dictator of DDR that all members of the KMS would join the DDR, and that KMS x Bismarck would get an officer position in the clan and command his former clan members. At the time, the KMS had a total of 46 members. Only 22 of them followed KMS x Bismarck. After the merge, Bismarck was denied the officer position, and was told that he must wait a month before he obtained the rank. During the month of October, nearly half of the former-Kriegsmariners in the DDR had left the clan. In November, a month after the merge, Bismarck was to earn his officer position. He never received the rank. The DDR had only 16 members. Seven of these members were Kriegsmariners. It was then that the KMS x Bismarck began the First DDR-Kriegsmarine War, the first major Kriegsmarine War. The seven members of the Kriegsmarine, along with four DDR members, staged a violent uprising during a DDR training session. The leader of the DDR was executed by assassination, and his loyalists were killed. The rebels then left the DDR, leaving the clan crippled with only 4 active members.

The Third Era
The Third KMS was declared at DDR Fort Lee, the site of the Uprising, on November 9, 2011. The founders were the original four councilmen from the second KMS. The clan name was shortened to The Kriegsmarine. The government was altered in that a councilman could maintain his position for only one month.
The Second DDR-Kriegsmarine War
The Kriegsmarine immediately set forth a massive recruitment drive, anticipating war from the DDR. We amassed almost sixty members at the peak of the era. War was declared by the DDR on November 23, beginning the Second DDR-Kriegsmarine War. Five battles were fought in the war, three DDR victories, two KM victories (this was during the recruitment draft; we only had 20 members. During the three DDR wins, we only had 3-5 players). The Kriegsmarine leadership challenged the DDR a few days after the fifth battle. We received no response each time we challenged them. The Kriegsmarine Council decided that the DDR had either collapsed or surrendered, giving victory to the Kriegsmarine. The war was officially ended on December 15, 2011.
The Kriegsmarine had activated an Elite division in late December, commanded by ShadowSteelex. This attracted many recruits to the clan. ShadowSteelex was also Bismarck's forge aid, assisting in nearly every forge created in the Third Era. The major forge project of the era was the Kriegsmarine Capital, completed in January. A subsequent video of all KM maps was uploaded to youtube, pulling in nearly 30 new recruits. The fame of the Kriegsmarine earned it two powerful allies: The Royal Honor Knights (RHK) and DTO. In Late January, the first rebellion in the Kriegsmarine occurred. The rebellion had only four participants, one of whom was reportedly a spy for DDR.
(We still have no information on if DDR is still active, nor if it was active at the time of the rebellion. The spy was never confirmed to be working for DDR, but it was assumed.)
The four rebels were dejected from the clan, and all of the rebels' acquaintances were interrogated.
The next rebellion occurred in February. This event is known as the Kriegsmarine Civil War. Over half of the Kriegsmarine was composed of Elites. At the time, the Elite division commander was Elitewv. He convinced the entire division to join him and secede from the clan. He succeeded. The Kriegsmarine had only six members now. The council agreed to break away the clan. The clan ended on February 11th, 2012.

The Kriegsmarine Capital
The Fourth Era
The shortest Era of the Kriegsmarine began on February 11th, 2012. The ceremony was held in the Chapel of the Kriegsmarine Capital. Only Five members attended the ceremony. The clan was to be secret for a month while the leaders organized the new clan structure to avoid all the failures of the previous era (a Kriegsmariner never makes the same mistake twice.) The current Ranking Structure, displayed on this website, as well as the new leadership structure, were products of the Fourth Era. The 4th Kriegsmarine had only 5 members: ShadowSteelex, KMS x Bismarck, XxBLUESMACKOxX, ExchangedRanger, and C00kieTim3. On February 16th, 2012, KMS x Bismarck and ShadowSteelex dismantled the Kriegsmarine for a fourth time, for their own personal reasons.
The Fifth Era?
The Story of Bismarck
KM Bismarck, one of the leaders of the Kriegsmarine, has a long history in the clan world. He begun this journey as KMS x Bismarck, on January 12th, 2011, when he began the Kriegsmarine. Above is the story of Bismarck and the Kriegsmarine, but here you will find what he did in between the four eras, and how these events shaped his understanding of how clans work and how to lead them properly. Story told in first person, written by KM Bismarck.
"I began my life in halo in December of 2007. I had no X-box Live, so I was limited to forge, since I was no good at first-person shooters anyway. Forge was the greatest thing I had ever played, allowing me to unleash the creative monster I had inside me (I used to feed it Lego, bu now I feed it forge.) In the eyes of my friends and peers, I'm now the second best forger in the community, and it took me almost 5 years to accomplish this feat. My only regret at this time was not having live. I couldn't download the map packs, so I completely missed Sandbox, the ultimate forge map."
"In 2009, I saw the first MOH video go up, and I was thrilled by the idea of a community in a game like Halo. I bet the developers never dreamed of such a thing coming from a future-based shooter. But, once again, I was limited by my live-less self. My idea was never to join the MOH, though. I was naive, but I was smart enough to recognize a trap before it was sprung. No I wanted a clan of my own, to be able to have control over my own fighting force, and keep them under check. I never knew how much fun you could have in a clan besides the clan fights. Community game nights? Never occurred to me."
"At the time, to me, there were only two things a clan needed: a good leader, and a lot of members. I am a brilliant political analyst, so the leadership was handled. And I knew that I could easily get members. In '09, clans were few, and not many people knew of them. Tons of people to recruit. There were only three clans I knew of: the legendary KSI, the MoH, and the KoH. KSI was the first clan, MoH created the idea of a community with its warstyle, and KoH was simply massive, proof that a clan can grow. If I had started the Kriegsmarine in 2009, there is no doubt it would have shaped the community completely. The UN took my idea :( "
"September, 2010, Halo Reach was released, and I instantly grabbed it. Forging was changed forever, and it didn't take me long to master the art. Reach also spawned the clan community, launching a multitude of clans to join the UN in the community. In December, I got Xbox live for Christmas, and instantly began working on my battle skills, which I also mastered in mere months. I also began befriending people, hoping they'd join me in the future Kriegsmarine. Of course, in December 2010, clans were still unpopular. Fleetcom joined the community as a lasting member, but that's about it. I created the clan's website in January, and forged the clan Headquarters. I had five people who were interested in the idea of a clan. Finally, on January 12th, me, US Army 56, C00kie Tim3, and DinosaurKevin, founded the Kriegsmarine Strikers. In March, I requested to ally with the UN, but I was turned down (Shadowsniper still hasn't told me why.) I decided that I needed more experience in how clans worked. I worked for a whole week looking for a small clan with less than 30 members to join. There were plenty at the time, so I randomly chose one."
"I contacted XxUndeadMaffiaxX, the leader of DERO, and he accepted me. This was March 19th. Maffia was a great person, a people's man, a true clan leader, who's tactile matched that of Brazen KOH (how ironic). DERO was a matchmaking and custom clan, the blue patch in a red sea of Military clans. A needle in a haystack. How strange that community clans were the first clans ever, yet it is so hard to find them nowadays. But I knew this, which is why I joined DERO. I wanted a wide range of clan styles to learn from. The Kriegsmarine is military styled, yet I joined a community clan. This mix between Military and Community was thought up by me individually, but other clan leaders had the same idea. The JFCA and CCHU are examples of this hybrid, and Custom Game Nights are also products of this variant."
"Maffia and I had both known about the legendary Knights of Honor clan, and Maffia was facinated by it. So over the Summer of 2011, he renamed the DERO into the KoH. I had no problem with this, except, as the clan Forge Marshal, I could only forge castles. The KoH, lead by the legendary Brazen KoH, was the first themed clan: medieval. Brazen was the best forger I knew, evident by the screenshots of Blitz Castle maffia showed me. Of course, castles, simple as they are, were my weakness at the time. I built three castles for him, the best I could do. They were awful to me, but to him, they were amazing. I gave up castle forging and suggested the Knight's Navy, as the ocean was my beacon. He agreed, and I built the KHS Leviathan, the first of eight ships in Maffia's Navy. The position of fleet admiral and Maffia's friendship was the thing that kept me in Maffia's KoH. I was also appointed as Second in Command, and helped to command over 40 members. This caught the eye of Brazen himself, and he suggested a merge with Maffia's KoH to make one big KoH, with Maffia as Marshall, the second highest rank. So I joined KoH as a Knight under Maffia. But not being able to command a navy and not having Maffia as my supreme commander wasn't enough to keep me in KoH. So I left."
"My leadership skills had increased, but I felt incomplete as a forger. Brazen's Vanguard Castle and ShadowSniper's UN Capitol were the lights at the end of the tunnel for me. I strived to become a great forger like them. I idolized Brazen as a forger. I created the second KMS with the goal of creating the best maps ever. I kept the original eight ships and created the Kriegsmarine Navy, expanding it to twenty ships, and recruiting a multitude of members. At one point, we had more members than DERO ever had. I was Maffia's equal now, maybe better. But he improved as well. Brazen ended his KoH and left, leaving Maffia in command of the 120+ members. Maffia created the Royal Honor Knights. Brazen wasn't gone for good though, acting as RHK's leader behind now-RHK Maffia, leaving him as a figurehead. King Brazen was still there."
"KMS Castle was my first 'Good' castle, as Brazen told me. He had respect for me as a never-give-up sort of person. He was the best I could hope for. All I did was invite him to view the map. He'd go through each one, and say what he liked and what he didn't. My towers and battlements were exceptional, but the gates and such needed improvement, he'd say. To him they were mere words, but to me, it was inspiration. Because of his backseat forging, I have almost equaled him as a forger."
"The Second KMS merged with the DDR, and I was promised an officer position to lead my men. More than half of all DDR members were ex-KMS men. It seemed appropriate to be allowed to command them. DDRGuitarguy wasn't a leader. He was a dictator. He ruled his members like pigs for slaughter. And he practically Did slaughter his members. All the DDR recruits had to go through Boot Camp, and it was torture. No one had heard of crouch laps. We had to do four crouch laps around forge world, without complaint. Crouch laps were actually a punishment in the clan. Why were recruits punished as a requirement? It's beyond me how Guitarguy's mind worked. The members that made it through were kept going because I urged them through, and we all came out with a deep hatred for our leader. But an officer position was worth it. I never got it, of course."
"After I was denied it, I immediately set to work testing non-former-KMS member's loyalty. Of the 9 DDR members, it seemed only four were loyal to GuitarGuy. The officers, of course. An uprising was needed. The five DDR members and the seven KMS members rebelled against the Officers at fort Lee during training. The first shot was fired by my DMR, and was answered by Joker's Scorpion. I organized the whole thing, but of course, not everything always goes according to plan. A close friend of mine, ExchangedRanger, thought the uprising would never work, so he tried to defend the DDR officers. Standing up to a friend, being cautious, his intentions were good. He almost made us cease the uprising, and I should have been furious. But no. I was proud of him. He was a great soldier. He was a great friend. He was great target practice."
"It took us two hours to break the Bunker on Fort Lee. Initially, we were being spawn trapped, and Exchanged was working with the loyalists. He never fired a single shot at us unless we were coming after the loyalists. He tried to convince the belligerents to stop, he only wanted peace. But once he saw the Loyalist's spawn trap, he tried to stop it. He took out one loyalist (I believe it was DDR GoldLeader), but was put down by GuitarGuy. Exchanged was now in the spawn trap with us. GoldLeader was among us now, and he was trying to get back into the fort. The Scorpions ceased their pounding finally, and they didn't fire another shot again."
"US Army and ExchangedRanger were put in charge of keeping GoldLeader from getting back inside, while the rest of us got into the fort. The Gauss hogs fell, then the Armory, then the Landing Pad. Exchanged manned a Gauss at the front gate to keep it clear. Fort Lee was raid-proof. We proved that wrong. We got through the entire defense array, and the three loyalists were now holed up in their bunker in the mountain. For two hours we pounded on their door. Eventually we got in, cleared it out, and began the spawn trap on them. We agreed to a ceasefire with them, the final assassinations were performed, one for each loyalist, and the KMS seceded from the DDR. We were then kicked from the game."
"The Third Kriegsmarine was founded at Fort Lee, and we have made it a historical site. The 12 rebels were the first members. This era was my forge era. I met a good friend of my brothers, ShadowSteelex, and he turned out to be a forger as well, not on the same level as me, but a decent assistant. He was not a people person, and disagreed with my decisions often, a great politician, whether he likes it or not. He also disliked everyone in the clan, and they disliked him back. Except for me. I was the only one keeping him in the Kriegsmarine. We had the same interests. He is one of the elite fanatics though. Humans are inferior to elites, all that stuff. He pushed for the elite clan, and it turned out that a lot of KM Members were also elite fans. The elite division was bigger that the spartan division, and Shadow, as their leader, had bragging rights over me. Even though I overrode him. He is a lifelong friend. His new gamertag is Vaht Razumee, giving heritage to his preference."
"The Human division and the Elite Division were always at tension with eachother. Each law passed by the senate limited the power of one division over the other, or amended the act. The spartan division members wanted nothing to do with a species flame war, so a lot of the Spartan division members left the clan. One of the Elite commanders, Elitewv, achieved a higher rank than shadowsteelex, and took his place as the leader of the elite division. He then declared war against the Kriegsmarine. Somehow he got the entire division to go along with him, except for Shadow, and they seceded from the Clan. This crippled us. This was the final blow against the clan. The senate was no longer large enough to operate, and I declared the first state of emergency ever to occur in the Kriegsmarine. I personally ended the clan, and dejected all members."
"Five of us stayed to form the Fourth Era, the experimental era. I had planned this era to last only a month while we planned the fifth era. We were to introduce a new government and restrictions on the powers of certain people. Elitewv was allowed to hold too much power for one person, and could actually do what he did. We only got around to making the new ranking system when I ended the clan for no reason at all. The reason: I couldn't come up with a new, working government for the clan. I wanted a completely unique government, and I could easily do it because I have the mindset of a political analyst. But clan politics is just a little bit different than real life. I needed to do some research. I needed to find a large clan with 70+ people."
"I found the MOH. It collapsed in 2010 and was remade into the UN. But the UN was now run by General JB. What was Shadowsniper, Prince of Forge, up to? In February 2012, he formed the Third MOH. I decided to join. Only ten members had joined, ex-CCM members. There I met CCMCatastrophic, the founder of the famous CentralCommand. He and his posse left MoH to remake CCM, and he invited me. I declined. I wanted to stay with ShadowSniper. Now the clan had only two members: me and him. It was in the MoH, in the presence of this forge God, that my forging peaked. I had become an exemplary forger, matching Brazen, matching Catastrophic, matching all the forgers in the community except Shadow."
"I quickly recruited some friends of mine, and was able to rank up. The MoH grew to over 100 members quite quickly. I became the first MoH Knight, the honor position in MoH, and the first Officer. I also quickly became Legate, the highest rank in the clan. I knew from the day that I joined that the time would come where I would have to leave. I had learned all I could from Shadow, in forging and in leadership. I was an exemplary forger, fighter, leader, and friend. I couldn't leave MoH and let it starve without me. I needed to train my replacement. I found him in Expert R3conx. He taught me Grifball, and I taught him leadership. He was soon my equal. He was also an adequate forger, nowhere near me, but close enough. MoH didn't need a forger. They had Shadow."
"When I was leading the Third Kriegsmarine, we had peaked at almost 70 members. We had won a war single handedly, but should another war come up, would we be prepared? We needed insurance. When I was in Brazen's KoH, I met Marshal Mowerz. He was alright. He was too high a rank to be allowed to meet the new recruits. He was a good friend of Brazen's. He became a good friend of Maffia's. When KoH broke up, he was smart. He stayed with Maffia, the only other Marshal to stay in RHK, an effective second-in-command. When I met him again at an alliance meeting with RHK, he was there. Maffia advocated an alliance with the Kriegsmarine, and he spoke well of me. I suppose Mowerz took a liking to me, as since then, we were good friends."
" Mowerz was also a good friend of Brazen's. Mowerz is very charismatic. Anyone he meets instantly has a deep respect for him. He's been facinated by clans, and helped create a separate community than JB's community. Since KoH fell, he had been poking around JB's community, trying to merge the two together. It worked eventually. Mowerz became a member of the Halo Clan Community by force."
"I also wanted to become a member of the community. MoH was my first step, and as Second-in-command, my name became recognizeable. Mowerz knows how to get around. He know people. He knew my position as second-in-command before I did. He never really did anything for me. He kept me updated on clan news. The top story: Brazen joins the UN. This was back when people respected the UN. They started to deteriorate as soon as ShadowSniper left, but they were still a fan favorite. I guess that's why Brazen joined. But soon he left. Very soon. He wasn't even in for a month. He seemed to only have two friends: Maffia and Mowerz (I know he had more like Ferret and Joef etc) and Mowerz told me why he left"
"The UN was a diabolical clan that forced Brazen to make maps like a machine. Mowerz, as Brazens friend, created the first Anti-UN organization, a two-month long alliance called the Freedom Fighters. The UN treated its members like Slaves. The Freedom Fighters were created to end the oppressive UN. I joined in the very beginning as a member, and stayed till the end. Lots of clans joined, many big names in the community such as THR and CCM and DTO. We created propaganda posters against the UN, raids against the UN, and talking individually to UN members about why they were in the UN. In the end, we were successful. There were three freedom conferences, one on a map I made for Mowerz. The FF became known in the community as the final blow against the UN. In the end, they had less than 10 members, all because of Mowerz, all for Brazen."
"I have nothing against the UN. I participated because I owed Brazen for all that he did for me. I have no problem with JB or how he runs his clan. If anything, I respect him. At the time, the UN has over 100 members. He has made a complete recovery, somehow. He did the unbelievable, and after surviving the Freedom Fighters, I have a firm belief that the UN is here to stay. Mowerz goal was never fulfilled, but his reputation is infinitely good. For some reason, Brazen hates Mowerz now, and subsequently, so does Maffia. After all that Mowerz did for him, Brazen ignored it all. Brazen went back to lead RHK and renamed it VKL. Mowerz left RHK and joined DTO. After the Freedom Fighters was over, DTO went to war with THR, and DTO won. After all that I did for Mowerz, I ask for no reward. He and I are closest friends."
"MoH was an Autocracy, a dictatorship. The ruler was fair though, the nicest ruler ever, firm but fair. But I wanted to experienc Government. I joined DOD, hated it and left, joined USOH for 35 minutes and left, and joined CentralCom. Catastrophic and I are still friends from MoH. I became a Minor Chairman in their government and decided it wasn't a good government anyway. Rather than leaving, I sought to improve it. Catastrophic agreed, and I drafted the entire CentralCom government system by myself. I even plan on using it in the Fifth Kriegsmarine. I became a Chairman for my efforts, and when Catastrophic left CentCom, he left me as Vice President. The President left and followed him, leaving me as President of CentralCom. I ended the clan and joined Fleetcom. Wouldn' you know, Catastrophic also joined Fleetcom."
"Catastrophic planned on remaking Centcom in the final return of it. I was stuck. My dream was to join Fleetcom, but it wasn't as good as I hoped. I also wanted to reform the Kriegsmarine, as Project Reunite was in effect at the time. But I had already contributed so much to CentralCom. I made their government, I made a recruitment video, I was President, and I was entrusted with the website. I decided to stay. CentralCom hadn't actually been formed yet. Instead CCM Sinister was leading the Soviet Armed Forces, and it was simply the interim clan before CCM would replace it. When it did, I was positioned as the first Officer and as Vice President."
"While I was in CentCom, I was crafting my ultimate castle. Raeder Castle is the best forge project I have ever built. It uses style elements I created myself, and some borrowed from Brazen and Shadowsniper. But it is my own style. Maffia had always wanted my to build him a castle, and he was impressed by the crappy Keeps i built for him. I wish for him to view the castle, on behalf of our past friendship. Brazen was my idol. I strived to build just like him. I have done what five years of forging could do, and I want him to view it. My Embassy I built for the Kriegsmarine was never used, nor shall it ever. I refurbished it with a new conference table and assembly point and donated it to CECM as a Senate meeting map. I am now a complete forger. A few days ago I was forging with Catastrophic and we were discussing the top forgers in the community. To be on our list you have to have led a clan. I have led a clan. The list goes as follows:
~ShadowSniper172
~KM Bismarck
~VKL Brazen
~x Tox1c M1st x
~Cool56
~CCMCatastrophic
I would have never been happier to hear my name on this list, and for Catastrophic to have ranked me above Brazen is unbelievable. Brazen will always be on top to me."
"May the soldiers and officers who have the honor one day to sail on this ship always prove worthy of their namesake! May the spirit of the Iron Chancellor be transmitted on to you, may he escort you in all your missions during the joyful voyages in peace, but may his spirit be for you a beacon of strength in the hours when duty demands the severest sacrifice!" ~Ernst Lindemann~
